About Atal Tunnel

Atal Tunnel is a highway tunnel of more than 9 kilometres under the Rohtang pass, opened in 2020. It links Manali to Lahaul valley and cuts the journey that once took hours over the pass. Beyond the tunnel the landscape changes to dry, snow-covered mountains.

Visits depend on weather, road conditions and local permissions.
